SELF CARE DURING PREGNANCY IS A MUST




Taking care of ourselves while pregnant can sound like another thing to add to the lists, BUT it is super important to slow down and take time for ourselves especially if you are taking care of others.


When I was pregnant with my daughter I never really slowed down, never really practiced self care until the very end. This was a big mistake! Taking time for ourselves especially while we are growing another little human is super important for our physical and mental health.


Think of some things that make you happy that you can do without making too much effort? I can name a few for you…

  1. Take a bath and watch a show on Netflix or listen to music (yes you can take a bath pregnant - just mind the temperature it should not be a hot bath)

  2. Grab a face mask and put your feet up

  3. Get a massage - or if you can’t go get one enlist your partner to massage at least your feet

  4. Rest - sleep in, take naps, go to bed early. Get in those Zzz’s

  5. Get moving - staying active helps you feel better and can give you the energy boost you need. It doesn’t have to be long, but move when you can (walk, yoga, short HIIT workout, etc.)


Give yourself permission and let go of the guilt:

STOP. RELAX. REST. RESTORE. and DO SOMETHING FOR YOURSELF
