Best Tracking Apps Out There
Technology is a great tool when it comes to health and wellness. However, there are so many types of apps out there it can get confusing.
Here are my top 3 apps that I use to help keep myself accountable and working towards my goals. 1. Apple Watch / FitBit -tracks steps (great for if you lead a sedentary life - literally tells you when to stand) -tracks sleep (can monitor your sleep patterns) -helps you track calories burned (these are just an estimate not exact) -helps you track your 30minutes of daily movement 2. Heart rate monitor -I use a myZone heart rate monitor, but there are plenty of options out there on the market -great way to gauge how hard you are working -allows you to tell if your pushing yourself too hard or not hard enough -encourages you to take your rest when needed 3. My fitness pal (nutrition tracker) -all in one tracker (tracks your fitness and dieting goals) ...other apps that I find useful 1. Charity miles - a great app if you enjoy getting in their weekly miles. - charity miles donates miles to the organization of your choice when you use the app to log miles done by either running, walking or bicycling. 2. Fit Radio - for all the music lovers who need music to get pumped up for their workout -to me this app blows Spotify out of the water when looking for music to help you get through your workout 3. RunKeeper -fitness tracker of runners -tracks distance, pace, and frequency of your runs 4. FitNotes - simple and straight forward app that allows you to log your workouts. - has a calendar feature to keep track of your workouts -can create your own exercise library There is an app out there for every type of person - choose an app that is going to help you stay accountable and see progress. DO NOT CHOOSE an app that will give you anxiety or feel stressed.
